The Fidler Trilogy is a series formally in the hands of Benham Productions, but taken on by CrocKid productions 2 years later to provide a bridge between ‘The Lone Fidler’ and the sequel ‘The Clarke Incident’. ‘Clarke’ is set just after ‘Fidler II’, as it confronts ideas surrounding the death of Detective Fidler following his Dip-Dab overdose.

The director of ‘Fidler’ and ‘Clarke’ was of course Jack Oliver, who also co-wrote the two with stars Sam Fidler and Michael Clarke. The new instalment is directed and edited by Charlie Parkin, who also stars as the Captain. It was written by the whole team on set – Sam Fidler, Michael Clarke and Charlie Parkin. Newcomer to the series, Charlie, had this to say about the production:

“I feel a great burden on my shoulders, being a fan of the originals, I know that it is my job to get this right. I’ve tried to stay true to the originals, with recurring gags popping up, for example the cigarette lighting gag, whilst moving into a new age, with (hopefully) impressive visual effects and more modern directing style. I love it and hope the people love it just as much.”

Sam Fidler, star, co-creator and co-writer of the entire series, returning as the same production roles the new instalment said this:

“Like seriously marry me
I will hold your babies”

‘The Lone Fidler II’ is streamable now on Youtube.
